Legal
Terms & conditions.
Reading these means you understand how we run sessions, how reservations work, and what to expect when you visit. Most of it is common sense.

1. Reservations
Tickets are reserved online and paid for at the box office on arrival. Reservations are held under the name supplied and may be claimed up to ten minutes before the published session start. After that, unclaimed seats may be released to walk-in patrons.
2. Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Australian cash. We do not surcharge for card payment. Concession, NSW Senior and child rates require valid ID at the door; without it the standard adult rate applies.
3. Refunds & cancellations
Because we don't take online payment there is no refund process. If you can't make a session, email hello@cinema-service.com in advance and we'll release the seats or move them to another session in the same week if availability permits.
Refunds for missed sessions where attendance was prevented by a medical emergency are at the manager's discretion — please email us with your booking reference.
4. Latecomers
For feature films we admit latecomers up to ten minutes into the session, with usher direction to side seating. For live broadcasts (National Theatre Live, Royal Opera) we cannot admit late patrons — please plan to arrive fifteen minutes ahead.
5. Conduct
By entering the cinema you agree to:
- Silence mobile devices and avoid screen use during the picture;
- Refrain from talking, recording or photographing the screen;
- Respect other patrons, staff and the film.
Patrons who disturb the audience may be asked to leave without refund.
6. Age & classification
All films and special events are screened in accordance with their Australian Classification Board rating (G, PG, M, MA15+, R18+). Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult for any session rated M or above. Photo ID may be requested for R18+ sessions.
7. Food & drink
Outside food and drink are not permitted in the cinemas, except as required for medical or accessibility reasons. Alcohol purchased from our bar must be consumed on premises. We may decline service to intoxicated patrons in accordance with the NSW Liquor Act.
8. Photography & recording
Recording any portion of a film or live broadcast is prohibited by Australian copyright law and is grounds for immediate removal. We do allow photography in the foyer.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by Australian law, Browntis Movies is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from any rescheduled, cancelled or differently delivered session. We will refund or transfer affected reservations.
10. Gift cards
Gift cards are valid for 36 months from the date of purchase, are non-refundable, and may be redeemed at the box office against any session or bar purchase. Lost gift cards cannot be replaced.
11. Group bookings
Group bookings of ten or more receive 15% off standard sessions Monday — Thursday. Private hires require a 25% deposit, refundable up to 14 days prior to the hire date. See Group bookings for current rates.
12. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on this page with an updated date.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any dispute will be settled in the courts of that state.
