1. Who we are

Browntis Movies is an independent cinema operating at 518 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000. For all privacy enquiries, please email hello@cinema-service.com.

2. What we collect

When you reserve a seat we ask for:

• Your full name — to hold the seats under and check at the box office.
• An email address — to send your booking reference.
• A phone number — only to contact you if a session is moved or cancelled.
• Ticket selections (adult / concession / child / senior counts) — for the cinema attendant on the night.
• Optional notes you choose to add (e.g. accessibility, group requests).

We do not collect payment information online. All payments happen in person at the box office.

3. Automatic information

Our server records standard web traffic information — IP address, browser, the pages you visit — solely for diagnostic and security purposes. We do not use analytics scripts or marketing trackers on this site.

4. How we use it

To honour your reservation, to contact you about changes to a session you've booked, and (very occasionally) to send a programme note if you've explicitly subscribed. That's it.

We will never sell, trade or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.

5. Retention

Booking records are kept for twelve months after the session date for accounting and audit purposes, then deleted. Subscriber email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) you may request:

• Access to the personal information we hold about you;
• Correction of any inaccurate information;
• Deletion of your records, except where law requires us to keep them.

7. Cookies

We use a single technical cookie to keep your session active while you book. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics scripts.

8. Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 14 without a parent or guardian present. If a parent is reserving for a family, we expect the parent's contact details on the booking.

9. Security

Reservation data is stored on our cinema's server, behind authentication. Our website is served over HTTPS. We notify affected customers of any data breach within 72 hours.

10. Changes

If we materially change this notice we'll update the date above and, where relevant, write to any active subscribers.
